Dear parishioners, Alumni, and friends of Little Flower:
I greet you in the most unusual time of our lives. The Corona
Virus Pandemic has caused great disruption for all of us.
As we continue through the days of Holy Week and Easter, we
give thanks for the great mercy of God who sent His Son to redeem us
through His suffering death and resurrection. St. Paul reminds us
that He who did not spare His own Son will not fail to give us all
things besides.
May we be reminded that the Lord Jesus is with us as we travel
thru the storms of life. We can always place our trust in Him.
Holy Week and Easter remind us that we are resurrection people.
We know that through the power of the risen Jesus and our faith in
Him, we not only endure the sufferings of life, but we overcome. We
overcome all things through the power of Him who loves us.
As we have been lifting our hearts in prayer during this
Pandemic, we have already seen God's mercy and grace at work as
people rally together to assist their fellow citizens who are in
great need.
As Pastor of the Shrine, I am most grateful for the faith,
devotion, and support of our current parishioners as well as the
loyalty and appreciation that our alumni demonstrates for their alma
mater.
I pray that God will bless and strengthen all of you in the weeks
to come, and that this Easter will bring you the gift of renewed
hope in the risen Jesus.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Michael J. Orchik
Pastor
