We welcome and thank everyone who will be with us on this special day, and we invite you to come back again.

An invitation for Little Flower Sunday from Rev. Michael J. Orchik, Pastor of The Shrine of the Little Flower -

Dear Parishioners and Friends of Little Flower:

This year we celebrate Little Flower Sunday on October 7, 2018, at the 11:00 A.M. Mass. We invite all alumni back to the Shrine to worship with us.

Each year we honor our patron saint and give thanks for all the blessings God has bestowed on us through her intercession, especially our school, our clergy, religious sisters, and parishioners.

It is with great anticipatiojn that we welcome the choir of Sts. Philip and James Roman Catholic Church and the University parish choir who will present the music for this Mass under the direction of Dr. Sean M. O'Conner.

We are asking parishioners and friends of the Shrine to come back and worship with us this day.  Let us once again fill the pews and worship together.  Is our hope that we will bring many back for this celebration year after year.

In addition to the celebration of Mass in the morning, we will host the Baltimore Chapter of the American Guild of Organists for an evening prayer service at 3:00 P.M. that day.  The Archbishop Curley High School Choir under the direction of Mr. Michael Gaffney will provide the music for this service and Mr. Michael T. Britt, our former organist and music director, will once again play on our magnificent pipe organ.

A free will offering will be taken to support the upkeep of our organ.  All are welcome to attend.

Yours in Christ,
Rev. Michael J. Orchik

While visiting our church, see our beautiful St. Therese Mural,..

"Little Flower In Glory"

...and say a prayer in our St. Therese Prayer Area.

When she first entered Carmel The "Little Flower" wrote:
"At the beginning of my spiritual life, when I was between thirteen and  fourteen, I used to wonder what else there was for me to learn. It did not seem possible that I could ever understand perfection any better than I did already.  I soon found, however, that the more one advances, the further off one sees the goal to be."
(She died at the age of 26.)

SLF Pew Memorial:
The opportunity to remember family and loved ones who devoted much of their legacy to the “Little Flower”.  Each Pew will have a Bronze/Brass name plate attached at the end of the pew with the name of  the family or loved one.  You have option to identify the Pew of your choice, most likely the pew you sat in on Sunday with your parents or grandparents or perhaps the one you pray in now each Sunday. Updated - August 7, 2017:
75 pews have been selected & 76 remain.
